On behalf of the education family in Ikorodu, I extend heartfelt appreciation to Honourable Babajimi Benson, MHR, for his purposeful facilitation that has brought about the approval of a Command Secondary School at 174 Battalion, Ikorodu.

This milestone, secured through the purposeful leadership of our MHR, Honourable Babajimi Adegoke Benson, is a landmark achievement that expands access to quality education for children of military personnel, their families, and adjoining communities.

I am reminded of a simple story often told in our schools: when a seed is planted in fertile soil, it does not grow for itself alone but provides shade, fruit, and shelter for many. Honourable Benson’s effort is that seed — planted with vision, nurtured with commitment, and now blossoming into an institution that will serve generations.

This development reflects a deep commitment to human capital investment and the welfare of service families, while also serving as a vital educational asset to the wider Ikorodu community

We celebrate this milestone with gratitude and optimism, pledging our support for its successful take‑off and sustainability.

Alhaji Taiwo Abiodun Odumbo,

Education Secretary, LGEA, Ikorodu
